Victims of Communism: live witness from Vietnam (Part 1&2)

Hung Nguyen (Danlambao) - Communism had bought deaths and holocaust to millions of people in the world. In all communist countries, only their own people were the victims, not just a few thousand but many hundred thousand, many million. The Victims of Communism Memorial was erected in Washington DC in 2007 to remember and honour more than 100 million victims of communism.

The killing and maiming are still going on in the last 5 remaining communist countries: China, North Korea, Vietnam, Cuba, Laos. Noticeably, the worst inhumane treatments are in China, North Korea, and Vietnam.

The below is part 1 and 2 of the 4 part interview conducted by Vietnamese Redemptorist News “Dòng Chúa Cứu Thế” shows the inhumane and evil side of the Vietnamese communist regime, even in this modern time of the 21th century. The story of Mr Anh Tri Nguyen, a prisoner of conscience, was jailed for 14 years for raising his view on the Vietnamese communist regime peacefully. The Vietnamese communists had secretly infected him with the deadly HIV-AIDS virus in their prisons. The Vietnamese communists only let him free knowing that he was in the last stage of the AIDS disease and will not live for long. This inhumane practice has been going on in Vietnam. The most recent similar case was about the death of Mr Dinh Dang Dinh, a high school teacher, jailed for opposing the Bauxite project constructed by the Chinese communists in Central high land of Vietnam. He was suspected to be poisoned while in jail for only about three years. He died only after a few months set free by the Vietnamese communist regime.

Vietnamese Redemptorist News/Jasmine Tran (Danlambao) Translated - ‘Prisoner of the Century’ Nguyễn Hữu Cầu and Huỳnh Anh Trí’s older brother, Huỳnh Anh Tú (also imprisoned with Trí for 14 years) verified two main facts:

Firstly, in Xuân Lộc prison (at least when under the management of Lại Xuân Hùng and Mr. Huy), it was a set a rule that all prisoners sharing cells must share one shaving razor blade. The reason given was that prisoners were not allowed to use their own razors, thus, prisoners had no clean razors and were forced to unhygienically share razors between prisoners.

Secondly, as to the “fettered feet” punishment, prisoners had to pay off officials to receive a clean and safe fetter. If they lacked the money to buy a safe one, they were shackled to dirty, unsafe chains, even chains which were previously used on HIV infected people and were still contaminated with blood. Chains/fetters with HIV infected blood continued to be used on many prisoners’ ankles, which was the main reason 14 prisoners in Z30 prison Xuân Lộc contracted HIV, and died in the prison. Now it is Huỳnh Anh Trí’s turn to be infected with HIV in prison – Trí is a live witness for the case.

HIV can be transmitted by blood transfusion, sexual contact, and from mother to baby during pregnancy or breast feeding.
